Abstract :
A new radio-camera system has been developed by BBC Research Department. This is based on a cluster of discrete transmitting antennas at the camera, each pointing in a different direction, with a processing base station at the receiving site to determine which horn is most appropriate. The antenna cluster comprises six transmitting horns spaced equally in the azimuth plane. The system is described and the results of an initial field trial at Wembley Stadium are discussed
