Abstract :
The problems collaborating with others across the network are apparent to anyone who has tried doing it. That being the case, we should attempt to create an environment that doesn´t have those issues. One approach is to make it appear to people and programs that there is only one computer in the world. In building such a system we have to solve problems of scalable performance, naming, security, discovery, and manageability. If we´re to succeed in hiding the boundaries between machines, the solutions we come up with will have to be part of a coherent architecture
