Abstract
A novel control scheme for a three-phase 3-switch switch-mode rectifier (SMR) is proposed in this paper. To achieve unity power factor input in each phase, the switches´ duty ratios in the three-phase SMR are determined based on the corresponding phase current slopes. No current sensors are required completely. The SMR has the benefits of low cost and simple circuitry. Experiments are conducted to verify the feasibility of the proposed scheme.
