New international standard for the interface lens/camera for 1" HDTV CCD cameras

A new specification for the optical, mechanical and electrical interface between lens and camera for 1" HDTV CCD cameras is described. This specification is the result of cooperation between the EBU and manufacturers of lenses and TV cameras worldwide the role of the EBU in this context can best be described as that of a catalyst. An overview of the optical and mechanical parameters that is essential to the specification is given. All lenses will have a dual mode electrical interface.
