Abstract :
The author covers the generalities of legal rights, especially how easy they are to generate and how easy they are to infringe. She comments mainly on UK law but with some references to other countries, especially if there are substantial differences. She discusses the six types of legal right protecting innovations, known as intellectual property rights. They are: copyright, registered design, design rights, patents, confidential information and trade marks. In the context of computer aided acquisition and logistic support she concentrates on copyright, design rights and confidential information
