Abstract :
A fast and efficient computer aided design software has been specifically developed for the study of hybrid technology based left-handed LWAs. It allows irregular and complex printed circuit geometries analysis and opens a wide frame of research aimed in two directions: the study and design of antennas with novel properties (metamaterials, bianisotropy, EBGs, etc.), and the possibility of independently control the pointing direction and illumination function, and therefore to reduce the side lobes level by tapering.
