Abstract :
A framework for sampled-data gain scheduling has been developed that builds directly upon previous results for the continuous-time case. This approach, which accommodates both linear time-invariant (LTI) and linear parameter-varying (LPV) design techniques, focuses on a linearization requirement imposed on the gain scheduled controller, corresponding existence conditions, and ways to satisfy these conditions. An example is presented that suggests the necessity of the linearization requirement
