Abstract :
The author develops a finite element based technique for predicting the performance of cage induction motors which interfaces directly with the classical equivalent circuit; uses separate minimal models for stator and rotor; and can be entirely transparent to the user. An overview of the method is presented and parameter calculations for the rotor, stator, magnetising reactance, and iron loss resistance are described
