Abstract
The author concentrates on a very specific aspect of energy control, the control of energy costs and includes issues involving other forms of energy and resources such as oil and water. First, he covers the issue of energy cost control, sometimes referred to simply as tariffs. Secondly, he covers one specific element of energy conservation-CEM-contract energy management, which is a very effective tool in implementing energy conservation measures by corporations. The authors definition is that energy conservation will help reduce the use of energy and make its use more efficiently. Energy tariffs, on the other hand, will help pay for energy at the most cost effective rate. The conclusion is that corporations should use both to get the best deal
