Abstract

A method to determining the window specification of antennas with medium cover is presented. Medium cover is used widely to deduce the back scattering of antenna. But the medium always influences the radiation characteristics of the antenna. To guarantee the radiation characteristic of antennas with medium cover, it is important to open an aperture on the medium cover, which is called the antenna window. The method presented here can determine the minimal specification of the window. The result indicates that the antenna window affects the antenna RCS greatly.
