  • Abstract
A practical cooperation strategy is provided to facilitate the time-frequency-space diversity for the coded OFDMA system over frequency-selective Rayleigh block fading channels. To take advantage of the time-frequency dispersion and to facilitate the space diversity through cooperation, each user transmits his partner´s and his own interleaved data on different subcarriers spreading over the entire available bandwidth. The allocation of subcarriers to each user and his partners can be either pre-specified or dynamically determined. Theoretical analysis on pairwise error probability and frame error probability is given to illustrate the improved diversity gain which is further verified by computer simulation results.
