Abstract
A new and more sensitive driving method for a crystal gyroscope is proposed and examined with a H-type LiTaO3 gyroscope. This method drives the gyroscope at the resonance frequency of the detecting mode. The experimental results for sensitivity and response characteristics of the gyroscope driven by the new method are shown. These are discussed in comparison with the results achieved by the conventional driving method
