Abstract :
In this paper, an anisotropic perfectly matched layer (PML) absorbing boundary condition is presented for the finite difference-time domain (FDTD) method to simulate waves propagating in a dispersive medium. Numerical results show that by properly choosing the constitutive parameters of the anisotropic PML, the method provides a nearly reflectionless absorbing boundary and it is an effective method in the simulation of waves propagating in a dispersive medium.
