Abstract :
The design and manufacture of high power planar beamforming networks employing thick machined copper or aluminium stripline supported on discrete supports have historically been difficult, and it was not unusual to encounter several hardware design iterations before design specifications were met. This paper describes some aspects of development work to improve the design and manufacturability of these beamformers
