  • Abstract
We present in this article a novel method for the simulation of thin conducting sheets (TCS) in FDTD. This method is based on the use of time domain admittance operator as a sub-cell model of the conducting layer. In particular, the admittance operator is directly computed in the time domain. We present the theory and the implementation in 1D, and show the ability of this approach to take into account very strong skin effects. The extension to 3D is reported elsewhere (see).
