Abstract :
Developments and applications using the electromagnetic ultrasonic (EMUS)-transduction are presented. Under the main headlines: Quality assurance (QS) during fabrication (defects, material structure, residual stresses); Pre-Service Inspection (defects); and In-Service-Surveillance during operation (process parameters) and -Inspection out of operation (defects, damages) examples are presented. These concentrate on applications related to materials characterization: stress analysis, texture analysis of coiled rolled strips in line, and early detection of creep damage
