Abstract
The ERACS program suite has its origins in work done in the early 1970s. Transfer of the suite to PCs began in 1986, advantage being taken of the graphics capabilities to develop user friendly diagram and data entry and editing facilities The programs currently operational include: loadflow, short circuit, harmonics penetration, harmonics impedance, transient stability, and protection coordination checking. The authors briefly describes how each program works and give applications. The user interface if briefly discussed
