Abstract
This letter investigates the joint social-position relationship based cooperation (JSPC) among mobile terminals (MTs), and develops a partner selection algorithm which incorporates both social and position information. Since the connection between any two MTs contains two layers of relationships, which influence the cooperation gain in different aspects, the partner selection strategy, especially the selection metric, is obscured. To address this problem, a joint closeness metric is defined to give an unified measure of the social-position two-layer relationship. As a result, the partner selection strategy is turned into a simple metric-calculating-and-ordering problem. Simulation results show the significant performance gain of the proposed scheme.
