BiCMOS-a technology for all seasons?

BiCMOS technology is an area of rapidly expanding interest within the world semiconductor industry as it unifies the traditional advantages of CMOS and bipolar technology and hence has the capability to address a large number of applications in emerging product areas. This paper reviews some current approaches to BiCMOS technology and argues that there is not one BiCMOS process which can address all applications, but that there are several approaches from which an appropriate selection must be made
