Abstract :
An automated test setup to measure the electric field coupled into shielding enclosures has been developed. Measurements and simulations of the electromagnetic waves coupled into shielding enclosures through apertures have been done. To minimize the influence of the sensor on the electric field, a small monopole antenna has been used. To measure the local distribution of the electric field in the housings inside, e.g. standing waves, the sensing antenna is placed at equidistant points above the ground plane of the box.
