Abstract
Designing mixed analogue-digital circuits with a logic CMOS technology has become a specialised area which requires detailed understanding of process tolerance, design-in-reliability and above all flexible approach in silicon implementation. Thorough characterisation of the process together with circuit simulation incorporating all relevant parasitic components can lead to closer agreement between simulation and silicon results. BICMOS technology is an alternative for high performance needs which offers more choice of analogue components at the expense of process complexity
