  • Abstract
In this paper presents an equivalent circuit structure, based on Gaussian filter model (GFM) to study the effect of finite size ground-plane of printed monopole antenna. The printed ground-plane versus monopole antenna, it should be regarded as a planar radiator rather than a ground-plane. We use Gaussian filter structure to model the variation of resonant frequency and impedance bandwidth that caused by imperfect ground, and the Thevenin methods to analyze the circuit. The quantitative values of inductance and capacitance of imperfect ground are addressed thoroughly in this paper. Simulated data are presented to confirm the results of numerical computations.
