Abstract :
In the context of the `loop controlled flexible manufacturing cell project´, the authors have been interested in a flexible manufacturing cell structuring; their purpose was to dispose of a stand-alone and loop control manufacturing process, in terms of production quality, and drift mastership. Such a cell constitutes an important technical advancement within production quality assurance. The loop control architecture involves the implementation of a decisional autonomy degree at each cell level to manage all technological data which are inherent in the equipment and processes, in order to completely identify the system state. The authors´ approach was to study and to define cell control loop solutions by using existing equipment, to specify necessary modifications to their integration, and to propose to users solutions which are adaptable for various types of equipment and configurable according to one´s requirements
