Results from on-the-air measurements with an adaptive HF radio system

The performance of a modern HF radio communication system, Farcos (fast adaptive radio communication system) has been measured. The authors discuss the HF system design aspects and describe the test methods. Field trial data were statistically evaluated and diagrams are presented showing frequency availability and link set-up performance. The results of the on-the-air measurements confirm the quality of the improvements of the new system approach
