Abstract :
In this paper, a compact dual-band hybrid DRA for WLAN is presented. In this antenna configuration, a vertical unsymmetrical T-junction strip adhered to the sidewall of the rectangular DR is utilized to excite radiating modes in the DR. A parasitic loop printed on the top of the DR is excited through the coupling to the feeding circuit. By connecting the parasitic loop and the DR in parallel, an 802.11 a/b dual-band hybrid DRA with compact size is proposed.
