Information systems strategy-a university perspective

This paper describes the first steps towards the formulation of an information systems strategy at University College London (UCL) one of the largest Colleges in the federal University of London and itself an institution comparable in size with some of the larger civic universities. The problems encountered are believed to be typical of many other universities and probably have much in common with those in commercial organisations
