Abstract
Ground based high power radome panel designs typically require a combination of cooling and heating systems. When transmitting, r.f. induced heating can be controlled by forced air cooling channelled through a slat core. The electrical effects of such slats can be analyzed using broadband radome techniques. In cooler areas where receive antennas operate, a classical honeycomb core replaces slat cores for needed structural integrity.
