Abstract :
In this paper the history and political motives behind the failure of Radio Atlántica are explored. The object of the "Compafiia de Radiodifusion Intercontinental" is to provide a powerful and permanent daily service of the highest possible value and efficiency for artistic and commercial broadcast over Europe, Africa, North and South America, for variegated concerts and recordings taken or transmitted from great capitals like Madrid, London, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Rome, Cairo, Brussels, Amsterdam and Paris. "RADIO ATLANTICA", this Super Broadcasting Station with its minimum aerial power of 200 Kilowats, increases the range and capacity of the wave by fourteen times with the aid of the most effective directed aerial, thus providing transcontinental listeners with an unequalled service.
