Abstract
Highlights the transmission aspects which need to be considered for the successful introduction of a personal communications network (PCN). The author assumes that there are only two means of providing transmission links within the new PCN systems. One involves the use microwave frequencies in the 38 GHz band, and the other is by obtaining leased capacity from another PTO when line of sight is not particularly economic, or over long distances
