Abstract
In this paper, an ultrawideband response for the ground bounce problem in electronic packaging is generated by using a simultaneous interpolation and extrapolation algorithm in the time and frequency domains. This is carried out by an associate Hermite (AH) expansion. Due to the isomorphism of the AH function and its Fourier transform, the time-domain signal and its corresponding frequency-domain signal can be expanded as two isomorphic associate Hermite expansions, that can be used for simultaneous interpolation and extrapolation in the time- and frequency-domains from the partial sampled data of the two waveforms in time and frequency domains. An example is presented to illustrate the efficacy of this new technique.
