The SE880 sonar enhancement system

The sonar enhancement system Model SE880 comprising Model SE881 workstation, colour monitor, VT100 compatible operating terminal and VDU, has achieved and largely exceeded design specifications. The system is able to acquire, archive and process survey data digitally in real time to a high degree of accuracy, producing quality displayed data. The system is compact, portable and easy to operate. It is able to operate both offshore and in the laboratory. As most software and operating processes are software based in `C´ operating on a VME bus architecture, this allows the system a great deal of flexibility. The system is therefore easily upgradeable in hardware and software, also it can be interfaced to other systems. Software and hardware from the system can be supplied to other compatible systems
