  • Abstract
There were VLF (Very Low Frequency, 10kHz-20KHz) Radio Stations used in Direct Communications between Continents which employed Poulsen Arc or Alexanderson Alternator at the beginning of 20th Century in the world. Through the study of VLF Radio Stations in the world, it is said that there were three Alternator remains, in the world. One is the GRIMETON Sweden as the working station, next is KARIYA station in Japan and the last one is Alexanderson remains at Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. The 200kW ALEXADERSON Transmitters were made 30 sets by RCA and they were distributed in the US and another countries. Only one remains in America which is kept in Smithsonian warehouse. In Japan 1930s, there were FUNABASHI station, IWAKI station directed to the US and YOSAMI Station directed to Europe. However, Today only YOSAMI remains as an Industrial Heritage in Japan and it was nominated as the IEEE mile stone in May 2009 However after the long time study of the mechanism of YOSAMI Station in Japan, it turned out the transmitter is made in Germany with the Alternator of Goldschmidt type different from Alexanderson. I would like to write the YOSAMI Radio Station on the poster and would like to show the mechanism of the Alternator through the dismantling work video with the PC screen.
