Abstract
This paper presents the study of the effect of dielectric loading on the performance of printed monopoles. An initial antenna structure is presented and the alterations in its resonant frequency and impedance bandwidth with varying parameters of the ceramic brick, forming the load of the design, are investigated. Comparison with the results for different structures is also illustrated. General rules on the effect of each load characteristic are drawn from the study.
