Abstract
This paper presents a more robust method to determine the surface wave poles and corresponding surface wave components. The spectral-domain Green´s functions are reformatted in the recursive fractional form in such a manner that an equivalent denominator could be created and contain all wanted poles. Once the poles are found using a simple root-searching method, the surface wave terms can be obtained analytically. Numerical results for typical geometries obtained by the proposed method will be provided to compare with the existing data, and good accuracy is achieved.
