Abstract :
The last twelve months have seen the introduction of CCDs into the full facility studio or outside broadcast camera. The BBC decided that only the frame interline or frame transfer CCD would offer high enough overall quality. The author discusses limitations still present on these camera systems, dealing first with the technical and then with the ergonomic aspects
