Abstract
A novel electromagnetic bandgap antenna design has been presented. We have designed an EBG structure that provides the maximun radiation in the axial direction. The software simulations have been performed with MONURBS for the frequency about 9.1 GHz. This innovative EBG antenna is an excellent candidate for several applications owing to its circular polarization properties.
