Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel miniaturized CPW-fed antenna for ultra-wideband applications. This antenna employs two oblique tapered slots as opposed to conventional CPW-fed antenna. The antenna shows good group delay and return loss characteristics as it prevents strong resonance and large group delay variation throughout the band. Radiation pattern looks quasi-omnidirectional with the maximum gain limited to around 4 dBi. On/off body impulse response also looks satisfactory.
