  • Abstract
Advantages of scalable multifunction RF (SMRF) sensors and networked operation of sensors are well-known. Some advantages are surveillance persistence, multipath resistance, and interference resistance. The particular benefits of applying multifunction RF sensors in a network still need to be studied. In this study, the application of fixed SMRF sensor networks will be discussed and suitable scenarios will be described. Based on these scenarios it will be shown that e.g. locating accuracy improves when information of several multifunction sensors is combined.
