Abstract :
This paper deals with a variable rate discrete multi-tone modulation communication system for broadband power-line communications, based on the turbo coding and bit-loading algorithms. The proposed system can be seen as an enhancement of the HomePlug 1.0 system. The performance of the system, expressed in terms of bit-rate and bit error rate (BER), is derived by simulation under the assumption of an in-building channel model
