Abstract :
The authors describe the ANALOY instrument which is a low cost, portable and easy to use solution to nondestructive checking of alloy grade or testing to identify grade (e.g. scrap material sorting). This has been achieved by designing for adequate performance and the use of an unconventional spectrometer design
