Abstract
The present method of assessment relies on the manual identification of ghosts in test images. The authors present an image analysis technique that increases the accuracy and subtlety in the differentiation and quantification of ghost artefacts. The technique presented allows more information to be extracted from the image and increases the automation of the procedure thus reducing operator dependency and the time for analysis
