Abstract
While the adoption of the Internet by businesses suggests that there are clear economic implications in provisioning of not just connectivity but also customized network services, the economic considerations have not yet found a way of driving the changes to the current optical architectures. The limiting factor is the missing technology. We propose a solution with resource exchange points (RXPs).
