Abstract :
Describes a new family of speech products, the TSP50C1x, which have been developed by Texas Instruments to provide high quality speech synthesis together with a flexible and powerful microprocessor in a single chip at a very low cost. The paper also gives a brief overview of the Linear Predictive Coding (LPC) speech synthesis technique used, and how an entire system including voice response can now be implemented using a single chip
