Abstract :
More recently, there has been a demand for theoretical description of purposive assemblies of technical, biological and socio-economic nature consisting of functional objects connected according to a specific topology. As far as technical assemblies are concerned, this demand has been met by the various approaches to control systems analysis which seem to have a number of disadvantages. The objective of this paper is to describe through examples illustrating the generalised description: (1) an alternative approach to the analysis of technical (and natural) situations based on a mathematical description, which can evolve into a description of technical control systems; and (2) an approach based on a linguistic description applicable to the qualitative and quantitative analysis of socio-economic as well as technical assembling
