Abstract :
This paper describes a modeling of the crossing of a GSM wave (900 and 1800 MHz) through a concrete cement wall, firstly by the method of moments (M.O.M), and secondly by the method of rays (M.O.R), and compares the results. The former case is based on computing of the induced current density (J) in the metallic structure of the wall, whereas the latter uses the classical laws of geometrical optics. The comparison made for some parameters like the attenuation of the wave, or the signal to propagation noise ratio, shows a very good agreement. However, “M.O.R” is preferable because it is easier to implement, and provides the same results as “M.O.M”, but in much less computing time
