Abstract
A theory is developed for analyzing the behavior of adaptive hulling array antennas when subjected to a near field interference test source. Numerical results are presented for a linear array of isotropic receive antennas arranged in a sidelobe canceller configuration. It is shown that the near-field nulling performance of an adaptive array is comparable to its far-field nulling performance.
