Abstract :
Describes how the snakes under specified constraints can be used to segment 3-D cells in the volumetric tissue images. A snake contour is initialized in one image slice and the optimum snake contour is used to follow the surface of the cell in different image slices. This method is useful to track the cells which appear to be considerably moved in its lateral position when we see along the depth of the image stack
