Abstract
The prospect of high definition video could revitalise existing and well established media giving them a new exciting life. HD video has much to offer in both the areas of acquisition and post production. The Electron Beam Recorder (EBR) was developed by Sony to provide high quality transfer of electronic images from HDVS tape to 35 mm film. The main advantages of the EBR are extremely fine and sharp image, no halation, excellent colour reproduction, and good archiving
