Abstract
Simulations of large multistage interconnection networks used in parallel processing systems are computationally expensive. The paper describes the parallel simulation of a realistic and highly detailed model of the IBM SP2 interconnection network. The challenges involved in efficiently parallelizing such a complex simulation are discussed
