Abstract :
The term radio data terminal can cover numerous devices, from vehicle mounted to hand held and even static installations. Each device has to be designed with due consideration to many and varied criteria, which may affect the most fundamental aspects of its performance and construction. The areas that are most apparent are highlighted. The overall design can fall into two areas, handheld and vehicle mounting. The latter can also double up for static installations
